Why Watershed AF?

Watershed AF (Antimony-Free) is a specially formulated SLA resin that delivers exceptional performance in the investment casting process. It has been designed to address sensitivities in the casting of certain specialty alloys such as nickel-based super alloys and titanium. During dewaxing and burnout, Watershed AF minimizes ash content and thermal expansion, reducing the risk of ceramic shell cracking and improving the integrity of the final metal cast. This resin also boasts high moisture resistance and robust mechanical properties, making it ideal for handling during shell building and suitable for larger, more intricate geometries.
 

Quality Assurance

To further ensure reliability and consistency, we pressure test printed patterns prior to shipment. This is particularly beneficial for patterns that include internal features critical to the casting process. Our in-house pressure testing process allows us to validate the structural integrity and fluid-tightness of each part, ensuring they meet your expectations and won’t fail during investment shelling or burnout. We can ship you patterns with or without the test plug.
